Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis

Wynton Marsalis brings the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra to the Shed — the formal-jazz tradition done at festival scale. The Shed is the right room for this; the JLCO works in big-band textures that fill the space. Marsalis's program selections in past Tanglewood years have leaned Ellington-Strayhorn-Mingus, with original compositions in the second half. Adults 21+: no public consumption on the lawn under Massachusetts law.
